My Story

At a young age I spent afternoons picking beads off the floor of my Great Grandmother's cabin home. She made moccasins and beaded clothing for so many in our family and community. My passion for art continued to grow when my other great grandmother showed me how to sew up her scrap fabric into pillow cushions. My young hands were constantly busy crafting, cutting paper, painting and learning new skills.

I create with the same joy I had as a child when exploring new mediums, repurposing items and connecting to my grandmothers. Each piece holds stories of these matriarchs that taught me to take pride in my Métis culture and live in gratitude by finding new life in old items.

Creating art from traditional and repurposed materials blends my desire to share beautiful things with sustainable ways to care for the earth.

I hope every item I make helps to connect the stories of beauty, resilience and sustainability that my ancestors lived by.
